Born and raised in Washington state, my yoga journey began in 2012 when I entered a hot studio to try out my first class. It took a lot of sweat, focus on breath and ultimately surrendering to myself during those 60 minutes in the heat but despite that, I laid on my mat in peace during the final moments of class; something had shifted within my body for the better. I felt a yearning to explore this more and soon thereafter I was hooked. Years of practice, reflection, and growth have passed/continue to unfold while here I am a teacher! Certified RYT-200 in Vinyasa March of 2019, Yoga Trapeze® Certified May of 2020 and received my training to become a Certified Breath Coach® June of 2020. Breathwork has been at the foundation of my personal yoga practice since the beginning; I quickly came to value the connection of breath to body and mind utilizing it as a form of meditation for self-care. Channeling this value as a yoga teacher, I enjoy creating sequences that allow students to connect their breath to movements creating the opportunity for a meditative headspace. As a Certified Breath Coach® I am beyond excited to be sharing with you the "How?" and "Why?" knowledge behind Yoga Breathing to help you gain an in-depth understanding into your mind, body and breath while receiving any number of benefits along with the way!
