Start building a foundation working with clay in this 6-week Introduction to Handbuilding Series - There will be an emphasis on beginning basics of clay, learning the various techniques available to you as a potter utilizing the numerous handbuilding techniques and tools available.

We will focus on producing finished pieces (functional or non-functional/sculptural) using slab, pinch, and coil methods while utilizing other beginning assets such as wedging, imprinting, carving, scoring and extruder techniques creating a set of skills to build upon in the future ✔️

Series will go over vocabulary and a breakdown of the firing process - no experience is necessary but this is also a great series to join for any level of potter!

Over the course of 6 weeks, the goal will be to complete at least 1-3 hand built forms of your choice - Bring your imagination to class or a project you may already have in mind to complete!

Includes 25# of clay ($28 value), glazing, firing, and students will have access to open studio time during designated hours for the duration of the class series.

Instruction will also cover studio layout, vocabulary, equipment use, and safety.
