Start learning the basics of working with clay including wedging, pinch, coil, slab and extruder techniques while creating a foundation to build upon in the future.
Including vocabulary and surface treatments, students will explore methods for making functional items such as bowls, mugs, coasters (and more) or non-functional forms such as abstract/life-like sculptures.
Each class will focus on a different technique; learn something new each time…
For this session, we will be making a serving spoon set using pinch pot and coil techniques learning how to utilize the clay extruder and other beginning techniques.
